In 1666, Cambridge was closed due to the bubonic plague, and while quarantined in his country home, young loner Isaac Newton made every moment count.
When this anecdote started going around at the beginning of the pandemic, the first thing I imagined was Newton in his PJs discovering gravity while rooting through the cupboard wondering who ate all the granola bars.
Meanwhile, my 6-year-old and I were trying to make the best of the "home school" adventure. This was one of our first projects together.
